Equipment

  • Air Fryer or Baking Sheet with rack

Ingredients
  

  • 2 1/2-3 pounds chicken wings, wings and drummettes split wingtips removed,
  • 1 tablespoons baking powder, (use aluminum free)
  • 1 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder optional

Wing Sauce Ingredients - see notes below

Instructions
 

  • Pat the chicken dry using paper towel.
  • Combine the baking powder, salt and garlic powder in a bowl. Cover the chicken with the seasoning mix. Tossing to coat the wings completely.
  • Air Fryer Method
  • Arrange the chicken in the air fryer, and cook at 380 degrees F or 10 minutes. Flip the wings over and cook an additional 10 minutes. Once done, remove to a platter and drizzle with your favorite sauce.
  • Oven Method
  • Preheat the oven, if you are baking the wings, to 450 degrees F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack over the pan.
  • Arrange chicken on prepared rack. Bake for 25 minutes, flip the wings over and bake for an additional 25 minutes or until crisp. Once done, remove to a platter and drizzle with your favorite sauce.

Notes

Homemade Sauce Recipes

Drizzle the wings with your favorite sauce.  Serve with extra sauce on the side. 
 

Buffalo Wing Sauce

  • 1/4 cup hot sauce (such as Frank's)
  • 4 Tbsp. melted butter
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • Stir the ingredients together in a small bowl

 

Hot Maple Sauce

  • 1/2 cup hot sauce
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • Stir the ingredients together in a small bowl

 

Honey BBQ sauce

  • 1/4 cup Baby Ray's BBQ sauce or your favorite brand
  • 1/4 cup honey or brown sugar
  • Stir the ingredients together in a small bowl
