Fry the bacon, once done place the bacon on a plate with paper towel to drain off the fat. Set aside.
Wash the lettuce and pat dry.
Slice the tomatoes (about 1/4" thick) season with a little salt and pepper. If you have extra juicy tomatoes, place them on a paper towel for a couple minutes to drain. This will help keep the BLT from becoming soggy.
Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise on one side of the bread and toast mayonnaise side down on a pre-heated skillet. Toast one side only (about 1 minutes). Remove and let the bread cool with browned side up.
Build your BLT by placing the toasted side of bread down, then layer with the lettuce, bacon and tomato. Top with the second slice of bread. Cut the sandwich in half. Enjoy!
