Ingredients
  

  • 2 1/2 pounds salmon filet with or without skin
  • 4 tablespoons butter melted
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice juice from 1/2 a lemon
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • black pepper to taste
  • fresh thyme or parsley to garnish

Instructions
 

  • Pat the salmon dry with paper towel. Let the salmon sit for 30 minutes so that it comes to room temperature.
  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. In a small bowl mix together all of the ingredients for the sauce.
  • Line a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil. Place the slices of lemon onto the baking sheet. Place the salmon skin-side-down on top of the lemon slices.
  • Pour the sauce, evenly over the salmon.
  • Bake for 8-14 minutes, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 140-145 degrees F.
  • Garnish with fresh thyme or parsley. Serve
