These Buffalo Chicken Wings are crisp and addicting! A single batch in an air fryer takes about 20 minutes to make. The wings can also be baked in the oven.
Wings are perfect anytime as well as for parties or on game day!Ā
If making a lot of wings, do them in batches, overcrowding will prevent the wings from forming a crispy exterior.
Tips for Chicken Wings
- Drums and Flats: If the wings are uncut, the first step is to separate them into drums and flats.
- Dry the Wings: Pat dry with paper towels.Ā This step is important because it keeps the wings from steaming, and crisps up the outside.
- Season: Season with salt and garlic powder.
- Secret Ingredient: Add baking soda to the seasoning, it helps the wings to become extra crispy, giving them a fried texture.
- Do Not overcrowd: Overcrowding steams the wings and will be soggy vs crispy

Can I bake Chicken Wings?
Yes!Ā Baking chicken wings in the oven will take longer. Baking the wings in the oven does allow for making a larger batch of wings at once.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.Ā Place the wings on a single layer on a baking sheet, allowing space between each wing.Ā (If you have a rack, that fits over the baking sheet, that will help them get even crispier).Ā Bake the wings for 30 minutes, then flip and cook another 15-30 minutes depending on desired crispiness.
Serve the Wings along with your favorite wing sauce (homemade or bottled), blue cheese or ranch dressing, and celery.
Enjoy!

Everyone loves these at our house! We get pizza either take out or delivery and make these on the side, they are just as good or better than what we get at our local pizzeria at a fraction of the cost. I start them just before ordering the pizza and have time usually to make 2 batchesā¦

Great wings recipe!! We love the hot sauce with them. We make 2 spice levels here at our house..I add in red pepper or pepper flakes, because I like them extra hot! Also just a side note, frozen cut wings are perfect for this recipe. They are more economical than fresh wings. Look for cut wings, so you donāt have to hassle with cutting them up into wings, drumettes and the throw away tips!!
Theses wings look good. Iām going to give them a try. Iāve never used my air dryer very often, usually just for warming things us, not cooking. These look east to do.
