Libby’s Famous Pumpkin Pie is one of my family’s favorites and a tradition for Thanksgiving. It even gets requested throughout the year
This incredible tasting pumpkin pie has a filling made with a blend of spices and a buttery, flaky homemade crust.
The Pumpkin Pie Filling
The spices: Cinnamon, ground ginger, ground cloves and salt
Pie filling: Use 100% pure pumpkin, evaporated milk, sugar and eggs
The Crust: 1 unbaked pie crust (9″ store-bought or homemade)
Cover the edges of the pie with either a pie shield or strips of aluminum foil.

Recipe Adapted from Libby’s Pumpkin Label
Libby’s Famous Pumpkin Pie
Ingredients
- 1 9-inch unbaked deep-dish pie shell homemade or store bought
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 2 large eggs
- 1 15 oz can 100% Pure Pumpkin
- 1 12 oz can evaporated milk
- whipped cream (optional-garnish)
Instructions
- Mix sugar, cinnamon, salt, ginger and cloves in a small bowl. Beat eggs in large bowl. Stir in the pumpkin puree, spices. Gradually mix in the evaporated milk.
- Pour filling into a pie shell.
- Bake in preheated 425 degee F. oven for 15 minutes. Reduce temperature to 350 degrees F and continue to bake for another 40-50 minutes or until knife inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool. Once cooled serve immediately or refrigerate. After plating top with whipped cream.
