Air Fryer Bacon is so easy. I don’t think I’ll cook it any other way again.  It is not as messy as frying it on the stove and it is even quicker than baking it in the oven.

Every air fryer is different, my air fryer holds about 5 slices of bacon, so if more slices are needed, I do them in batches. Drain the grease out of the air fryer after each batch of bacon. When the bacon is done, remove and let it drain on paper towel before serving.

How Long to Cook Bacon in the Air Fryer

The cook time can vary depending on these three things; style of air fryer, the desired crispness and thickness of the bacon.

  • Regular Cut Bacon – For soft bacon, air fry at 350˚F for 7-8 minutes, and for crispy bacon, cook 8-9 minutes
  • Thick-Cut Bacon – For soft bacon, air fry at 350˚F for 9-10 minutes, and for crispy bacon, cook 10-12 minutes.

Tips for air fryer bacon:

No need to turn bacon during cooking.

No need to add extra oil prior to cooking.

No need to preheat the air fryer.

Make sure not to over crowd the bacon. If doing in batches, alway discard the grease after each batch.

Cook at 350 degrees to prevent bacon from smoking.

Check for doneness a minute or two prior to the end of the cooking time.

How To Store

  • Refrigerate cooked bacon strips in an airtight container or tin foil, for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat leftovers in the microwave or air fryer just until warm.
  • Freeze cooked bacon strips in a zip-lock bag for up to 3 months

This is the first time I’ve made bacon in my air fryer, it turned out perfect!! I kept checking the last couple minutes until it was the way we like it. John

Super easy to make….I put in a paper towel under the rack of my air fryer before cooking, it absorbed the grease and clean up was quick. Mary

I made two batches. On the first batch I kept checking the bacon a couple times towards the end. The second batch I had the timing down and only checked it once. Perfect…nice and brown without being overdone. Linda
